A Never Ending Culture

Echoes of Polynesia is a dance group born out of pure passion, dedication, enthusiasm and cultural respect.

Commencing in the early 1990's, the group aims to project a message of cultural diversity, joy and tranquility in the entertainment of its audience.

The group takes us on a voyage across the South Pacific ocean, evoking feelings of peace, love and harmony.

The venture began when a small collective of Polynesian families and their children gathered with a common goal to teach, learn and maintain the cultural ties to the various Polynesian traditional dance and music styles of the Cook Islands, New Zealand, Hawaii, Tahiti and Samoa.

Ranging from as young as two years of age through to adults, the majority of the group are Australian born and recognise this activity as a great opportunity to maintain the generational links to their cultural heritage.

The Echoes of Polynesia dancing group has developed into a confident performance group capable of captivating its audience with the multi-cultural sounds and spirit of Polynesia.
